What We Treat
Depression
The therapists at Strive support clients in managing chronic, acute, or seasonal depression. We offer insight-oriented and evidenced-based psychotherapy to help you develop tools for recovery.
Anxiety
We help clients deal with anxiety when symptoms escalate or become unmanageable. Whether generalized, social, or manifesting as phobias, severe anxiety can lead to isolation, panic, and to obsessions and compulsions. Strive can help.
Substance Abuse
Strive supports our clients struggling with substance use or abuse issues using both abstinence-based and harm-reduction approaches. Each embodies different goals, methods, and underlying beliefs about the nature of addiction and how it should be addressed.
Interpersonal Skills
We help clients focus on interpersonal skills that align with their individual goals and needs. When someone experiences a pattern of negative personal and professional relationships, it can have poor consequences on their mental, physical, and emotional health. Our therapists can provide guidance and feedback on communication techniques, establishing healthy boundaries, fostering empathy, and more.
Digital Media Overuse
We’re trained to treat clients struggling with Digital Media Overuse (DMO), commonly known as Internet or technology “addiction”. The compulsive and problematic use of web-based digital platforms is a growing issue in our society. Whether you have concerns about your online gaming, social media use, online spending, information overload, or pornography use, we have protocols in place that can help.
Our Clients
College Students
We specialize in working with college-age adults and teens. We support clients in optimizing their academic abilities and achieving their full potential. Clients can address concerns about college life and feelings of overwhelm due to stress, anxiety, or other mental health concerns, in a safe and confidential space. Together, we work towards helping you feel more confident, resilient, and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
LGBTQIA
Strive Psychotherapy is an allied team of clinicians providing affirming psychotherapy for the LGBTQIA community who may be struggling with issues such as coming out, discrimination, self-esteem, substance abuse, addiction, family conflict and relationship issues.
Neurodiverse
The clinicians at Strive Psychotherapy are experienced at working with neurodiversity, executive function issues, and treating social anxiety. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and specific learning differences impact how neurodiverse clients navigate their academic, workplace, and social challenges. Using evidence-based approaches, we support them in their pursuit to thrive academically, socially, and in the workplace.
Teens
We help teens develop effective coping strategies and problem-solving skills to manage stress, anxiety, and other difficult emotions. Teens gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, leading to personal growth and a better understanding of their strengths and values.
